"Pretty sweet day today. Rain had stopped by the time I got up and the trail was pretty mellow to Crater Lake National Park. Steep climb up to the rim and then I got to see Crater Lake for the first time! Being Sunday, Fourth of July Eve, it was a free for all anywhere there was car access. Had a couple cookies and soda at the visitor center. Hiked along the rim on the lake for a while then the trail had too much snow so I turned it into a road walk. Got to a water cache where the hiker and stock PCTs reconvene and there was a bag of starburst and a beer waiting for me. Cranked out 8 more miles to camp afterwards. Set my tent up and had a super good dinner. Pretty exhausted." 7/3/22 8:14 PM
