"Great day today! Crushed some serious mileage and ready to hit the climb out of Seiad Valley tomorrow. Going to be in Oregon in two days. Started early and there was a bit of snow. I slipped once and broke my trekking pole. After some steep climbing I stopped in a valley where there was a horse team hauling out trail maintenance equipment. One of the horses that was untied got real close to try to take my apples and peanut butter right our of my hands. Took lunch at a good lookout with service after the last steep climb, then cruised the rest of the way to camp. It was pretty hot in the afternoon. Met a super cool dude at camp who is a physical therapist for AG2R la Mondiale, the professional cycling team. Pretty excited to get to Ashland in a few days." 6/26/22 9:14PM
